Mr Bean Liquify Extension Activity
1. Overview
We will be
opening up Photoshop and learning how to make a new file, copy and paste from the
Internet, and use the liquify tool to make something like this:

2. New File
1. Open up Photoshop
by looking for the PS Icon
4. Go back to Photoshop. Click on the File Menu, and then "New"
5. A new window
will pop up. If you have copied the Mr Bean picture correctly then the size
settings will already be perfect (800 x 800 pixels) and you can just click OK.
3. Pasting
Your Photoshop should now look like this:
4. Saving
At this stage it is
wise to save your file. To do this Go back to the File Menu and Press Save
When asked where to
save to, you should always save your work to your D Drive
5. Liquify
Go to the Filter
menu and choose Liquify
5.1. Warp
The first tool we
are going to use is the warp tool.
It can be used to
push around or smudge the image.
Before we go on to other tools it should be noted that
the brush settings can be changed as well. A bigger or smaller brush can make a
huge difference to the effect.
5.2. Pucker
The next tool we are
going to use is the Pucker tool
This can be used to
suck areas inwards to make them smaller. E.g.
5.3. Bloat
The next tool is
called the Bloat Tool
This is the opposite
to pucker and is used to expand areas. E.g.
